Food Science Fusion’s Ruth Dolby has been mentioned in the national press as a result of the testing she was commissioned to undertake in the ‘Sausagegate’ row.
Ruth, based at the University of Nottingham, and her team identified that the statements the manufacturers of Porky Lights sausages put in the packs were not consistent and accurate.

Having arranged the tests and reviewed the results Ruth was quoted saying “Consumers cannot be sure how much fat they will be consuming when they eat a Porky Light sausage”.
Food Science Fusion’s concern is for the accurate use of food science across the UK’s food industry.
