Line managers are responsible for ensuring that their employees adhere to this policy and for ensuring equality of opportunity for their staff.

All employees are obliged to adhere to the Equal Opportunity policy. We would encourage employees to notify their Line Manager or the Directors if applicable about any personal disabilities to enable us to make any necessary adjustments. The Office Manager will be responsible for collecting, collating, monitoring and reporting on equal opportunities where required.

Equal opportunities in employment

Brief job descriptions and person specifications will be limited to those requirements that are necessary for the effective performance of the job and cannot discriminate in selection for recruitment. Food Science Fusion will consider any possible indirect discrimination when considering requests for flexible working.


If an employee considers that they may have been unlawfully discriminated against, they may use Food Science Fusion’s grievance procedure to make a complaint. In the first instance the employee should discuss the matter with their Line Manager.
